The initiative brings together 60+ researchers from both organizations set to uncover new processes and means to foster the concept of “well-being” through the usage of information technologies. This concept ties end-users, technology and service providers with a need for both humanely and techniquely sustainble and effective information and communication tools.
Ubimedia can be broken down to 5 sub-initiatives in domains ranging from humanities to plain computational research. As part of the SES (Economic and Social Sciences) department of Telecom ParisTech, we are involved in the NIU (New Interfaces, New Usages) sub-initiative, which task is both to observe trends and oportunities in technology usage and describe and test processes to harness these observations to help identify or design future communication tools.
